We are in search of all positions for oline, dline, running backs, everything – no kid should be afraid to try out. Please note that the game will be broadcasted live from Alberta and next year the game will be here in BC.
Anyone with questions can contact email@example.com, he Head Coach of the Grade and 9 team.
Here are some additional details for your parents.
Last year the Alberta Rising Stars travelled to Kelowna to play the BC Rising Stars in a thrilling game which BC won in the final 18 seconds. This year the Bowl game will be in Alberta, at Lacombe Stadium on Sat. May 24, the weekend after the long weekend. In addition this year we have added the Future Star Bowl (Grade 8 and 9)
Generally we run 4 ID Tryouts. From there the coaching staff then select 44 to 48 players to play in the ABC Rising Star Bowl Game. ( ABC Future Star Bowl Game)
Both bowl games will be played in Lacombe on Saturday May 24 against the Alberta Rising and Future Stars 2014.
We also need coaches & players to get the word out to grade 8/ 9 Future Stars.
We ask for players to bring helmet (preferably with name on front) & shoulder pads. If unavailable they can still participate in the tryout. Tryouts are set up like a teaching camp, agilities, individual period and 1 on 1’s.
Each tryouts is $50.00 at registration.
Players must attend at least one tryout to be considered for bowl game selection. However players are eligible to attend more than one tryout.
After tryout weekend, players will be contacted to confirm they have made the Rising Stars/Future Stars 2014 and are eligible to participate in the Rising Star Border Bowl game Saturday May 24th. In Lacombe.
Players who make the BC Future Stars will have insertion camp practices the weekend of Saturday April 26 and Sunday April 27 prior to the bowl game weekend.
BC Rising & Future Stars would leave by bus early the morning of Friday May 23 for a planned 6pm arrival in Alberta. The teams would eat and sleep at Olds College before playing the Alberta teams on Saturday May 24th.
