What are Border Bowls?
All Star BC Teams VS. All Star Alberta Teams. A game to showcase the best players for their positions to be viewed by North American Colleges and Universities.
Those who come out to Border Bowl combines are tested for their times and saved in a database. These lists are then purchased by North American Colleges allowing them to find out more about the players and their locations.

If your player is in Grade 6 through 12 this September, they are welcome to come out and get tested for their times this August and then try out for their teams in Spring 2015.
*Note Grade 6 through 11 will be tested only this summer. They will tryout in spring for their All Star BC Teams and play in Kelowna in May 2015. Alberta will be coming out to play the game here.
Current Stars – are the grads of 2015, who after they play their community or high school season and have not committed to playing football at a college or university, can play a showcase game on December 13th, 2014. It is the BC Current Stars VS. Alberta Current Stars in a BORDER BOWL. Trying out for this team does not interfere with your regular season.
Tryouts for Grads 2015:
- Abbotsford, Rotary Stadium, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm
- Burnaby, SFU, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Here is how it works
Grade 12’s will try out in full gear. The team will be announced shortly after. Insertion Camps in Abbotsford, December 6 and 7 (boys will be staying in Abbotsford this weekend). Game against Alberta, December 13, Exhibition Park in Chilliwack. Colleges and Universities will be out to meet boys, and watch the game.
Grade 6 through 11 – this is an optional combine for you to come out and be tested. (Many boys have expressed interest to come out and get tested at the younger ages to get their names into the database and then test every year to show progress and try out for their teams) This is also FULL GEAR.
COST TO TEST OR TRY OUT IS: $50.00
Once you try out, you are notified if you made the team and generally the cost to be in the game is $550.00.
$550.00 (includes meals, transportation for teams that require buses, video, therapists, referees, games venues, accommodations, jersey and swag package)
*For those that have difficulty funding the $550.00, please speak to us at try out location. For those parents and players who are committed to trying out – we work with you to fundraise for your player as we fundraised for 5 players this past spring to go to Border Bowls discreetly without sharing names.
