The Bronze Boot exhibition games showed the staff that the Hawks have a lot of potential. Here the Hawks started off slow when the offense couldn't finish off any drives and failed to score in the game. On the other side of the ball the defense pounded the Coquitlam team and as a result the ended in a tie of 0-0.
Things really improved in game two when the Hawk offense shuffled down the field for two majors while the defense shut out the West side Warrior offense and gave the home team a 13-0 victory..
Last on the day was the Cardinals the annual Bronze Boot rivalvery. With both teams striking once it was the Cardinals that were successful with the convert. The Hawks having last possesion of the game moved down the field but were stuffed at the last second and didn't get the score resulting in a 8-6 victory for the Cardinals.
