Pre-Season Cloverdale:
Aug 22nd
For some Falcons this would be their first football game while for most they had last weekend to learn from. The Falcon went up first against White Rock who came out and scored first taking a 6-0 lead. With time running out the Falcons offense finally found some space and Isiah Brown answered with a 40 yard touchdown pass from Mike Lemond and with some help from a thundering block by Michael Folland, tieing the game up for a 6-6 final.
Next up the Cloverdale Cougars took the field, a combination of what will now become two nine man teams. The Cloverdale offense struggled failing to move the sticks while the Falcon defense continued with the pressure. James Torres recovered a fumble giving the Falcons another chance to move the ball. Three times the Falcons failed to punch the ball in the end zone but failed to score the major leaving the game to end 0-0
Last on the list of tournament opponents was the Meadow Ridge team from the Valley Football League. The Falcons defense stepped up and created havoc forcing the Ridge team into a three and out situation. The Falcons offense took over and finally found their wings marching the ball down the field with Colby Peters scoring the first major of the game with a 1 yard dive. Later after Meadow Ridge again went three and out the Falcon offense came alive, moving the chains until Isiah Brown got his second of the day on a 5 yard sweep.
The Falcons went undefeated, a big improvement from last week, finishing second with a 1-0-2 record. Next up is the Bronze Boot.

Pre-Season Langley:
Aug 14th
The young Falcons got their first taste of football on the Langley fields this weekend. The opponent on this day were an impressive list including the 2008 defending Provincial Champion team Victoria, the VMFL Champion Langley Outlaws as well as the Coquitlam Vikings and Mission 9'ers.
Overall on the day the defense played well with some signs of what will become a tough top notched defense however pre-season means mistakes and the few mistakes made were taken advantage of and resulted in most of the touchdowns against the Falcons.
Against Langley the offense was able to move the chains but failed to score showing signs of what could be a fast motion offense. They struggles against Mission before finding some holes in the Coquitlam defense and making some ground. It wasn't until the last game against Victoria that young offensive coach Ross Sparrow called for the deep pass resulting in Isiah Brown pulling in a Mike Lemond pass.
Overall both sides of the ball did okay against four teams that had already played this year. Up next is Cloverdale.
