2008 Cheerleading Queen Pageant...

The Annual North Surrey Minor Football Queen's Pageant was held this last Friday night where five senior cheerleading girls competed for title and treasures. The cheerleaders had to go through a vigorous question period in front of a panel of judges and then later make a speech presentation in front of the general audience.

In the end it was Alie Buckley (on the left) who won the title of Queen for the year with Krista Belos (on the right) winning Princess. Along with the title the queen receives a tiara, diamond ring, and sash to keep as well as a $500 scholarship for any post high school education.

The Princess receives a bracelet, tiary and sash and will fulfill the duties of the Queen if for any reason she is unable to.

Other participants in this years competition were Kayleigh Sparrow, Jessica Taylor and Britany Patchett, all of whom did a fantastic job with their speeches.
