Football University...
Several North Surrey Football players were given a chance to showcase their skills and talents in a Football University pre-camp held in Langley this month. Football University is a program run primarily in the states where over thirty camps are run for high school aged players with the purpose of finding those elite players and preparing them for NCAA football both on and off the field.
Shane Thompson, FUB's Head Coach for the B.C. was asked to find a few players here in B.C. that would then participate and compete in the Seattle FBU camp later this month. Six NSMF players from last seasons JB, Bantam and Midget teams were invited to the local camp where they went through several hours of intense testing and instruction by former CFL, NCAA players and coaches. Congratulations to the following players and best of luck on qualifying for Football University:
